We have all done it.
when i was 12, i remember i was playing with a cousin (my age), it was a family reunion, and then a little cousin arrived and wanted to play, so we did that. I dont know how they dont realize its not them. But he was 7 or 8 i guess.

I do this to a mentally disabled friend of mine all the time.

I used to do this to my sister.

Then my brother.

Sometimes it was good being the oldest.

With our Wii U, my 19 month old knows that when the light isn't on constantly, he's not playing.

He promptly goes to take away the Wii Remote from someone who has a solid light on. Clever...

Parent foul. Once you hit a year you gotta stop counting in months. Docked you one point.

I stopped counting months after 2 years with all my (3) other children.

For me it makes more sense clarifying how old in months the child is because during that period of time it greatly determines their expected development (walking, talking, coordination, etc.).

If I say "1 year old" you don't know where in the spectrum he falls.

That, and saying "1 year 7 months old" is a mouthful. After they hit 2 they've hit a lot of major milestones and can therefore be assumed to have a certain set of skills.

Of course, you say potato - I say french fries.

Why would I want to know where on the spectrum your kid falls?
